Keep Whitehouse Beautiful had a booth at the East Texas Earth Day Celebration at Camp Tyler on Sunday, April 17, 2011. Information was handed out about recycling, composting and general litter prevention, as well as a plastic recycling game for the children.

Keep Whitehouse Beautiful President Debbie Shafer met with Brown Elementary pre-schoolers at New Canaan Church on Monday, April 4th to teach about recycling. They were so excited to learn, they looked for the recycling number on the packages from their lunches afterwards!
Pictures from the 2011 Don’t Mess With Texas Trash-Off
Over 350 people turned up for the 2011 Don’t Mess With Texas Trash-Off held Saturday, April 2nd at Whitehouse City Park. After registering, getting a free t-shirt and donut, volunteers fanned out across Whitehouse to pick up trash from highways and roadsides. Pictures were taken by Angela Klein and Macy Richey.

Keep Whitehouse Beautiful hosted a booth at the annual Whitehouse Kris Kringle Mart on December 4, 2010. They taught the children how to make Christmas decorations out of used CDs and handed out general recycling information.

City residents dropped off their old, unwanted, broken items to the Recycle Center such as furniture, rusted grills, fencing, mattresses, ovens, water heaters and the like during the Whitehouse Large Item Roundup / aka Clean Whitehouse Day.
